Tanielu's single gives the St. Cloud Rox walk-off win over the Alexandria Beetles, 5-4

A walk-off single from Nick Tanielu brought home the winning run for the St. Cloud Rox (22-38) in a 5-4 victory over the Alexandria Beetles (26-34) at Joe Faber Field on Wednesday.

Tanielu was solid at the plate for the St. Cloud Rox. Tanielu went 4-5 and drove in one. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth, eighth, and ninth innings.

Boo Vazquez was hot from the plate for the St. Cloud Rox. Vazquez went 4-5 and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth, eighth, and ninth innings.

Zach Hirsch pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out five.

Despite the loss, the Alexandria Beetles' Steve Weber dominated the St. Cloud Rox's batters, giving up three runs and striking out seven.

Adam Maxon got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over one inning. He struck out two, walked two and surrendered three hits.

Anthony Bazzani (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
