The Battle Creek Bombers come from behind to beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, 9-5

A loss looked likely for the Battle Creek Bombers (24-41) when they trailed by five runs in the seventh inning, but the Battle Creek Bombers were able to capture the lead back with a a two-run single by Sikes Orvis in the seventh inning, spurring the Battle Creek Bombers to a 9-5 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (25-40) at C.O. Brown Stadium on Tuesday.

With the score tied at five, Orvis came to the plate and singled, bringing home Colin Willis and Casey Yocom.

Orvis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Battle Creek Bombers. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Willis racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Battle Creek Bombers. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Jordan Dreiling had two extra-base hits for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He doubled in the third and fifth innings.

Brian Stevens recorded his first win of the year for the Battle Creek Bombers. Stevens struck out two, walked four and gave up no hits.

Tommy Danczyk couldn't get it done on the mound for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
