The Duluth Huskies seize victory thanks to late two-run home run, drop the Mankato MoonDogs 3-2
The Duluth Huskies (36-29) and the Mankato MoonDogs (39-26) volleyed the lead four times on Tuesday, but the Duluth Huskies came out on top for a 3-2 win on Tuesday at Franklin Rogers Park.
James Ramsay had a hot bat for the Duluth Huskies. Ramsay went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning.
Joey Novak baffled the Mankato MoonDogs, striking out 10 batters. Novak allowed one earned run, two hits and one walk over six innings.
Despite the loss, the Mankato MoonDogs' Adam Mott dominated the Duluth Huskies' batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.
Dylan Vogt improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Duluth Huskies. Vogt struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Mott (5-3) took the loss for the Mankato MoonDogs.
