2011: Anchored the Princeton pitching rotation all season long. Won the team's Donovan Award as it's top pitcher and All-Ivy League Honorable Mention. Made 11 starts and was 5-2 with a 3.18 ERA in 70.2 innings of work ... struck out 55 batters ... allowed only an unearned run in four innings in his first start of the season at LSU. Pitched a complete-game five-hitter to beat Harvard. Got a tough no decision in Game 2 of the Ivy League Championship Series after allowing one earned on five hits in 7.2 innings.
2010: Made nine appearances and eight starts … was 4-3 with a 7.38 ERA … was 4-1 in Ivy League action … first college appearance came in a loss at Elon … pitched six shutout innings at Navy before surrendering three runs in the seventh in a Princeton win … held Dartmouth scoreless over six and struck out six in a shutout win … limited Columbia to a single earned run in seven in a win … allowed four earned runs to defeat Cornell.
Was a first-team all-state pitcher and two-time district Most Valuable Player as a pitcher at Coppell High School ... was 6-1 with a 2.65 earned run average and 95 strikeouts as a senior ... also batted .412 when playing in the field ... fanned 88 with a 9-2 record and a 0.95 ERA a season earlier.
