The Honkers all-time leader in ERA (2.63), strikeouts (171) and games started (23) returns in 2009 for a third summer with Rochester. Zach had a rough spring with Iowa this year, but will look to shake that off and continue his dominance of the Northwoods League and help lead the Honkers to another strong season. Last season he made 12 starts for Rochester, including a complete game shutout against Duluth on June 11. The game was called in the eighth due to weather with Rochester leading 11-0, and Zach finished with a near-perfect line of 7.2 innings, 2 hits, no runs, no walks and 7 strikeouts. The Honkers are very happy to have this southpaw back one more time!
