After being red shirted as a freshman at Arizona State, Joe transferred to VCU and stepped into a starting role and finished his first collegiate season with a solid .275 BA. This year he held down his regular third base position and upped his BA to .343 with 29 RBIs. Joe is very versatile as he can play all four infield positions and can take a turn on the mound when the coach calls. During his high school career at St. Dominic High School, Joe was rated as the number one shortstop in New York by BASEBALL AMERICA Newspaper.
