Soule has logged over 20 appearances on the hill in each of his first three seasons with the Gophers. In his freshman season of 2010, Soule went 1-4 with a 3.35 ERA in 22 games and pitched a season-high 4.1 innings against #7 Cal St. Fullerton in NCAA Regional play. In his 2011 sophomore campaign Soule again pitched in 22 games, this time with a record of 3-2 and an ERA of 3.55. He pitched well in the postseason again in 2011 and gained his third win of the season over Purdue in the Big Ten Tournament. In 2012 Soule was 3-3 with an ERA of 3.60
Prior to Minnesota: Soule is a graduate of Wayzata High School, where he lettered three years in baseball and two years in hockey. Under the coaching of Bobby DeWitt and Terry Steinbach Soule was named All-State in his senior season as well as All-Conference in his junior and senior seasons.
