A very experienced collegiate shortstop, Stephen Wickens crosses the border of his native Canada to rejoin the Lunkers after spending the summer of 2009 with the Lunkers. His experience last summer was highlighted by a stolen base at home plate, which, as a part of a Lunkers' promotional event, won a Lunkers fan $20,000 towards the purchase of a new vehicle. Playing at Florida Gulf Coast University, Wickens has been the Eagles' starting shortstop since his freshman season. After a solid freshman season highlighted by his first career collegiate home run versus then No. 1 Miami, Wickens had a sophomore surge finishing second on the team in batting average (.356) on his way to Second Team All-Atlantic Sun honors.
